Club member John Gersbacher, WA6UAA, now K6JJ, was in the Air Force from Sep 1968 until Sep, 1972. He attended Airborne Electronic Navigational Aids Maintenance training at Keesler AFB and had follow-on assignments to Mather AFB, CA, and Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai AFB, Thailand. He then returned to Keesler to complete his enlistment. Although his call is now K6JJ, he still holds the call WA6UAA as a club callsign.
