Club member Phil Vinokur, WA6HVI, has been holding his call for 40 years, as of July 99. Phil was assigned to Keesler AFB from April 69 to November 71 and worked in the Ground Radio Equipment School. His electronics knowledge was pressed into service by maintaining the club's 2mtr repeater, as well as repairing other pieces of gear in the club station. If I'm not mistaken, Phil has removed his 'BCGs' and placed them in his shirt pocket, for a better pose. Phil also appears in the 'singing trio' photo.
